Pedant - a person who is excessively concerned with minor details and rules or with displaying academic learning.
In networking, minor details can have a profound affect to our understanding of a technology. As I interact with IT professionals, there seems to be a division between newer technologies (myself included) and those who started pre-2000s. This blog is an attempt to dive deeper into technologies and hopefully have a better understanding on the why, whats, and hows.
I have been in the industry since 2019 where I got a job as a basic customer support at Comcast for their SMB market. While I was in school for Cyber Security, I fell in love with networking and pursued my Net+ at Comcast. This led me to follow the Cisco Certifcation track and I got my CCNA at the end of 2019. I have worked at a CLEC/MSP and primarly work on MPLS backbone or on SD-WAN deployments of various sizes.
I was inspired by Ivan Pepelnjak and Russ White to start my own blog to document my work, learning, and life. This is meant as a way to for me to better learn the technologies I use on a daily basis or as a way to help better understand the technologies that I am labbing.
